This is a tour of West Hollywood. It starts with Santa Monica Blvd, known for dance clubs, that still play disco music, unlike the rest of Los Angeles, it has a green island between west and east fruffic lines, that displays ever changing art expositions, that are sculptures made to be moved from one place to another by some artists, lots of green salad food places and some reality TV places, that were opened to fail on live TV. There is an old Palm restaurant, that use to feed Hollywood celebrities before they moved to more trendy food joints. Right after, there is club Troubadour, that has live music and launched careers of many musicians.
From Santa Monica Blvd you will go to Sunset strip, driving up on Doheny Dr, which connects Beverly Hills on the left side with West Hollywood on the right.
Sunset strip use to be a desire of weekend nights for all South California just a decade ago.
Now it's decorated with rock-and-roll theme and still have some old bars, like Rainbow and whiskey gogo.
Most of the old attractions are getting demolished to give room to huge multi storey buildings.
Unfortunately, we got stock in traffic congestion and didn't reach to the part of the strip, that hosts Skybar from movie Old Scoop and couldn't take last glimpse on House of Blues, that is empty for a few months and will be demolished any day, to give room for another multistorey building.
We might finish this ride some other day or night.
